    If i'm not wrong the only thing that this does is chrooting into preinstaled arm ubuntu system and start vnc server. I've tried this and is, in most cases, useless. You can open Firefox or libreoffice but you can't work with that, it's very slow and eats all the ram.

    I did it downloading the arm distro from ubuntu, creating an image file, running qemu to install the system, copy imagefile to the MID (SD), mount it as loop somewhere (/data/local/ubuntu), bind proc, dev... and chrooting to the dir. Then you can start vncserver and connect to localhost, or do chroot in a terminal and use apt-get, gcc or any other app that runs under ubuntu.

    After one week i deleted the image file due lack of use.

    Good night and sorry for reviving this topic, maybe someday arnova will give us the source code of the kernel and we can try to do things a bit better.

    Edit: Sorry, i was playing with the options and changed the stars. It's a mistake, not a real valuation.
