I have a X7 mini and a litle experience in android mod (root, media changes, add/remove default apps).

I have all my mods using a custom kitchen-sink-like system using bash+dialog (moving to zenity is next) based on one from TNT but is hardcoded, i want to migrate them to a more modular system.

@neomode: do you apply all the changes by hand? how do you port from other systems?

I am very interested in create a 'standard' way to apply patches for X7 and X7 mini. That way when a new upstream version is released apply all the patches and generate.

Modding /system is not all we do. Making changes to boot.img is part of modding ROMs and almost always required to port.

Neomode scripted his stuff based on working with him in the past. So it's not by hand but also not a kitchen. I also do not use a kitchen as it doesnt have some of the capabilities needed to make other changes I make even to /system.

I understand what you mean. you can not do everything using a kitchen, I was wondering how to implement reusable stuff. Definitely scripted, sometimes using diff/patches, but sometimes you need to use binaries too, thats why i asked what should be the best way to share.
