Why does my new Pipo m9 Pro have to be reset to turn on?
Everyday my m9 pro has to be reset before I can use it? The battery is fully charged and I powered it down correctly the night before. Every morning I have to insert a small paperclip several times to get this thing to boot up. After 7 or 8 times it will finally boot up, once it boots it runs just fine, no lockups, WiFi is great too. Anyone else have this problem? I have not rooted or updated the ROM.

My new M9 Pro has a long delay to power up!
I have to hold the power button (the one closest to the middle) for quite a few seconds before it will power up. Like you at first I thought there was some problem but that is the way it works.
Press and hold for like 5 seconds and release. If that doesn't go, do it again.

I have been pressing the power button for minutes at a time. I have to plug the charger in to jumpstart the darn thing. Pipo should have put 2 power buttons on this thing, a button where the reset whole is would help. Lol.
I was wondering if a rom flashing to a custom ROM might fix the issue, but I may return the thing whilst it is still returnable to Amazon.
Happy Thanksgiving Bob,
Phil

I agree it is odd behavior.
My tablet came with the 10/23 ROM and I went to the latest 11/20 ROM and this is how mine works.
The odd thing is I cannot flash back to older ROMs (wifi only older ROMs) as my touch screen is upside down and wifi wont work. So there for sure was some hardware changes to the M9 Pro over time.

OK!
Thanks Bob, you were right, I held the power on for4 seconds and let go and it booted just fine. My novo7 Elf II has a quick boot logo in 3 seconds to let the user know to release the power button. Live and learn.
Thanks again for your help, l have looked at this tablet for several months before I ordered one. I actually got it on Amazon in 2 days from one of their sellers. I sure like this tablet.
Cheers!

Your welcome. Again I was freaked out too thinking it was bricked or something
The power button does not work like any other tablet I have had. I am sure this has caused other people concern!
