    Is it possible ???

someone might have done this question but i haven`t found any thread or post that explains it.
The nand memory of a friend is corrupted, the device is a mk808b.
I have a broken t428 but the nand memory of the t428 is not corrupted.
So i`m curious, if I desolder the nand of the t428 and replace it on the mk808b will it work, or i need to find the same nand that the mk808b uses.
    thx

your nand swap may work. but the system will only recognize as much as it was intended to use. so lets say you are replacing the nand chip that was 4gb capacity with an 8gb capacity chip, chances are you will wind up with a 4gb formatted chip. (sucks)

the only way you will really know is to go dr. frankenstein and find out. i look forward to your experiment results.

you could always try installing rom manager too, and reformat everything. (nand, cache, dalvik, etc.) i have corrupted many devices and have found tools to recover the chip if it was mot physically damaged. rom manager for rk3188 devices works well.

my current mk808 project is running overclocked, is fan cooled, the partition on the sd card is integrated with the system, it streams 720p on icefilms or whatever host on XBMC and is stable, dual band wifi antenna out of cat5 e, it has an antutu score of 13980 running finless rom 720p kernel. so my little mk808 is comparable to a quad core t428 untuned base score.

the problem with the current nand is that it is physically damaged. when i run the dmesg it says that it can not read from memory and even if i reflash the rom the memory gets immediately corrupted after the first run, if i install an app the next reboot the app dissappears. thats why i`m thinking of replacing the nand.

well today i changed the nand of the mk808b with that of the t428.

i can start flashing the rom and all, it goes to 160 mb and after that download failed

dont know what to do now, i guess i`ll have to find an original nand chip for the mk808b, if it can be found. if not i`ll dump in the trash the device and will have to spend 45$ for my friend as the idea was mine to change the nand chip

edit: just flashed the device ok. the problem was the cable.
        victoryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

edit: with finless 2.1 i have some graphical errors. trying 1.7 now.
