best setup for streaming HD films?

hi guys,

i recieved my mk808b a few days ago and i want to watch (hd)movies via icefilms. i flashed my rom and kernel with finless 2.1 (1080p). my device has some problems with the wifi connection , its not very stable (sometimes i haven't any wifi connection and the other time its working perfectly. router is 1 meter away). thats why i use a ethernetcable , not very fast but its stable and working.
i downloaded the frodo 12.2 xbmc and the HD films are stuttering/low fps , SD films are working good. so i was reading the finless 2.1 thread and some guy uses the ouya xbmc (with hardware acceleration) and said its working. however its not working for me, maybe some improvements but no fluently streaming of HD films.
so what am i doing wrong? and whats the best setup for HD streaming movies on a mk808b?

ps. also tried the finless 1.7 rom but same issue with streaming HD films

Flash a 720p kernel. 1080p is always significantly slower.

Xbmc is still being worked on for androids so its not quite there yet.

I would suggest downloading the plex server http://www.plexapp.com/desktop/ (free)

And get either the plex client (cost 5 bucks) or Serenity for Android (2 bucks)https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...serenity&hl=en (also a free version but it doesn't auto update)

Use a 720p rom as suggested since 1080 never been perfected for these things
I suggest either Finless 1.7 or 2.1 roms which you can find in this forum

This should allow you to stream basicly everything without issue provided you got a decent router and wireless connection.

With the added bonus of the plex sever downloading all the artwork and info for you movies/tv/music.

its working for me now!

i flashed 1.7 rom finless (720p) an use a gotham alpha xbmc version (http://xbmc.org/gotham-13-0-feature-freeze/). fluently and no stuttering and great quality!

i know xbmc is not very stable (according to the devs) but its worki for me!

ps. i tried plex but i prefer xbmc/icefilms
