    N90IPS RK3188 help

    Hi, I bought a couple of tabs for my daughters xmas's and all in all the appear really good for the price sub £100 . I want to de-chinese them but cannot find much support for them they are Window Yundao rk3188 and its the ips version 9.7" with 1gb ram. I currently use the pipo m8 pro and this site has always been very good for support and i always use riley's roms which i have to say are excellent.

    Anyway I have been unable to locate a root tool for the device to remove all the chinese bloatware. I have managed to find a rom that flashes through rkbatchtool which has a custom recovery and I have the drivers installed.

    I was wondering can I flash without root? I know this is probably a stupid question but just want to make sure as i don't want to break them.

    I will try to download the firmware and cook a ROM for you. I don't have the tablet, so you will need to test for me...if you are up for it.

    The Vido firmware has gotten difficult to keep up with, since they have so many versions of the same product...with different firmware based on serial numbers. We need to make sure we get the appropriate ROM for your tablets.

          Riley I appreciate that, I don't know if this is possible but it would be great if the rkreader app was included and the family launcher that's in the new pipo m8 pro ROM as they like that on my tab. If this is a big ask or a lot of trouble the leave it ad you are always very busy. BTW the new ROM on the m8 is awesome and that is just on the stock kernel. I see no need for me to change it.

              I just finished a test version of the ROM. I don't have any boot artwork yet.

              I'll give you a link as soon as I upload it.

                    Ok did first run, still quite heavy on the chinese apps but other than that wifi, touchscreen and gyroscope appear good.

                      I have checked root and su ok, i have also managed to uninstall most of the bloatware via links2sd but not all

                        OK, I removed all of the bloatware this time and added a new set of boot screens.
