Which MK908 do i have?

Hi all,

first post here so please be patient with me.

Got my MK908 some days ago. It worked but XBMC didnt work in 1080p full screen. So i started to tweak around and got messed up.

1. I dont have the external WiFi Antenna
2. i dont see any version (V1 or V3) on the pcb board. Maybe need to remove heatsink but maybe its not necessary with your help.
3. on one chip i see AP6210

I dont get any signal out of my HDMI but i still can connect to Windows. Tried out severall flashes but no success.
So my next stupid question is: Whats the difference between the RK Batch tool and the 1.37 ROM tool?
There are complete .img files and then there are kernel...boot... etc img files. What do i really need to do in order to flah to lets say finless 1.4?
Maybe someone can help me to go back to factory settings and upgrade from scratch on?

Batchtool tells me its still on 4.1 so no matter what i do, i cant change a thing and it doesnt boot or at least doesnt output via HDMI. Still it can be connected W7 PC via the reset switch.

Please help!

I got something COMPLETELY different!
They sold it to me as a Tronsmart mk908 but it doesnt seem to be one.

Look at my Pic after removing the Heatsink. The only thing i can read is HTC-T012-V2. WTF???



Think i will send it back as it is just... something else? Anyone seen that before???

I found out without opening. I flashed a V1 kernel, there was no HDMI output. I then flashed a V3 and it worked. Therefore mine was a V3.

I see, but it seems that i dont even own a Tronsmart Device which i paid for. So it will be sent back and see whats next. MK908II good choice?

Tronsmart gets their device made by Beelink, nothing wrong there.

But the PCB doesnt look anything like all the others ive seen. Is it V1 or V3? Now i cant even connect to my PC anymore grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The reset button/power up combination doesnt work anymore. No BONG on my Windows. Think its completely broken now?!

I had NO chance to update it with any other version. Also i couldnt load the "stock" firmware which i cant even find. yes, i may sound a bit naive, but i tried everything and spend almost the entire day plugging it in and out and in and out and....

What firmware definetly works on this device and how can i get it running?

Really strange. If andronoob has exactly the same product i might try it out a last time. Depending on which FW he exactly used. But patience is something im not toooo good at.
Even worse: For the time being, i cant even connect to windows anymore. Pressing the reset button for 20secs doesnt help either.

Which MK908 do i have?

I have also this. It's not MK908!!!. It's working width mk802IV roms. Under the HTC-T012-V1 label you must check the date (two groups of roms: before 2013 jul and after 2013 jun!!!)
The heatsinks was too small width custom roms also, so i change them all. It's working fine and stable!!!
