Help needed installing finless rom 1.7 on windows 8.1

I just bought Minix x7 recently and trying to update with 1.7 rom.

I am newbie to minix and android community so requesting some sort of help from pros like you.

Is there any tutorial on how to update minix to 1.7 firmware? I dont see any link in the tutorials section. (Sorry if i overlooked it).

Also i am using windows 8.1 i am unable to install usb drive from rk even the new rockchip drivers are not working also work around they suggested changing ini file LOWUSB=true is also not working.

Please help me.

Intructions for flashing are in the read.me txt . I gave up and borrowed a win7 machine to flash, even tried running xp in VMware and couldn't get it to work.
