minix custom xbmc beta1 released

Data version:
- It has been optimized for VPU Rockchip, so it will perform better than the generic version of XBMC.
- VC1 and VP8 formats has acceleration. There are still problems with MPEG2.
- Contains the hack to have 5.1 audio passthrough
- This has a different APK officially bringing to XBMC can be installed independent of the official version.
- It's based on XBMC Frodo (12.x) version

I'm a noob to all this. I just intalled XBMC for android from the offical site and it works on my T428 running Finless 1.5a. Is that supposed to happen? Should I get some other flavor and install it?

"XBMC for Android" i.e. the stock XBMC version works with all Android devices. "XBMC for MINIX" is a customised build with a closed-source library including MINIX-specific h/w decoding code. It will install/work only on genuine MINIX devices.

Beyond XBMC and SPMC are the best v12 flavours for non-MINIX devices.
