Cheaper to buy a new tablet to replace that one. Screens sometimes end up more expensive vs buying new tab..

The good news is opening the case and replacing the screen should not be too difficult, The hard part is going to be finding one. Phones can usually be found, but there are more people with them and breaking them. Even at that is was nearly $50 for the one I needed to replace the screen on my Eris when I broke it, and that was a small screen. By the time you find one, it might be only slightly more expensive, and way easier to get a new one.
Wish I was closer to you if you decide to replace. I had some hardware mods I wanted to try on the motherboard, but would be nice to have one that was broken to try them out on (upgrading the flash was the first thought).

Ended up buying a new tablet. I have had this other one apart and yeah it's very easy to change the screen...if I could find one it would be nice. We shall see.

I would try to offer you a bit for it, but much more than $20 and my wife would get irritated

I at least have some info,

Still couldnt tell you where to buy but I hae lots of numbers and a website, at least on my unit this is what I see (your results may vary as we seem to have a few diferent models around here)
The company is DPT-Group found here(I tried to bring it to the closest point to our guy as I could):

The numbers on the outside cable are 300-N3377B-A00 (trails under a sticker)
The barcode on the sticker is
                    dpt110054 d70n3377b-koc 2011215sz0939

Did a translation of it and it looks like the one you would want is the VX610W Deluxe (just make sure it is capacative) and was priced at 140 yuan which if I am doing my exchange rate math right is about $22.26. Just need to see what shipping would be.

Edit: oops, rechecked, the above is just the LCD screen, the dgitizer is also showing as 140 yuan. It is easy to spot since the resistive screens are 50 yuan

                          Hmmm, I found this.

What I see when I take the tablet apart is the screen has 2 ribbons to plug in. Would I have to somehow get the glass off the top, the screen is actually two different parts?

I think my LCD screen is ok, the tablet will turn on and everything still looks good, the touch just doesnt work. The glass on top is what is cracked. That is the digitizer? And is the digitizer what I linked?

Yep that would be the digitizer

Looks right, wish I could see the numbers a bit clearer to compare for sure. Hard part is I don't know if you have the I that is the same as the C with (or the Onda V1) or the one that had the gsensor reversed (see Onda V5). Since the sensor was reversed, it would seem likely the hardware is different between the two, but since to the best of my knowledge no one has confirmed this, you would want to make sure before purchasing.
If you doget one, the two parts are frequently glued together in one unit (not sure in our case). If so the best option is to use a hot air gun or hair blow dryer to heat up the surface to losen the glue, start with a lower setting since you dont want to take a chance at cracking the LCD's glass, and try to heat things up evenly again to try and keep from cracking the LCD.then use a couple small screwdrivers or even a plastic knife to try and slowly get them appart. It is delicate work, but not impossible either if you just take your time.
