Thanks, this is the screenshot..
I'm not sure how to read the kernel version..

Please follow this rule of thumb for flashing.
Each time you upgrade to a new ROM...Erase IDB and flash the whole ROM. ROM's are a little like snowflakes, none are exactly the same and partitions sizes in the parameter files in each ROM must be used. If you don't erase IDB, you risk having parts of both ROM's interfering with one another and causing unexpected headaches that even I can't troubleshoot.
This stands true each time you wish to change the size of the user app space partition. Android is very specific about where certain parts of the ROM are kept in NAND, and they can't overlap. On my ROM's, in order to save usable space...I don't leave much wiggle room for these partitions. I've noticed that Pipo stock firmware does waste a bunch of space beyond the size of the system. Typical stock system.img files are around 700mb...they usually allocate 1.1gb for system.img the leftover space can't be used by Android in any way.
If you just want to flash a new kernel or recovery image, you can uncheck everything except the desired file and just flash that image without erasing IDB. These files are the same size, so there isn't a risk of overlapping with other partitions.Randy

updated the firmware on my Pipo to RileyROM 2.3
tried to replace the kernel on the subject laid out in post # 11
none of the 7 kernels does not start. tablet or not included, or get hung up on an endless reboot.
longest work was an attempt to kernel_cpu1704h_gpu600h_ddr720_low_voltages (+25 mV) but the tablet rebooted during a test pass Antutu
on the stock kernel in Antutu typed 19678

I assume to need to reflash everything then. Provided that there is a potential issue with the kernel, do I use the same complete 2.3 package or use another kernel? Thanks

2.3 + 2.2 Kernel
I flashed 2.3 again with 2.2 kernel. Seems to improve the reset situation so far.
Before that I tried 2.3 + "kernel_cpu1608h_gpu600h_ddr720_low_voltages.i mg" and the device could not boot.
BTW: one question regarding the GPS, it seems that I can't get to the options of EPO and A-GPS, is that something related to the chip? Thanks

HDMI output problem
Hello!
First of all thanks for great rom! I use it on every pipo tablet.
Now the problem. There is some odd problem with hdmi output on firmwares 2.2 and 2.3.. on "burger" m9 pro 2.1 + kernel from m7 pro 2.1.1 all works as expected. On 2.2 & 2.3 hdmi out works bit strange - when I try to play video with mx player it plays, but freezes as soon as toolbars form mx player and launcher hides.. on tablet video still playing normaly, but freezed and artifacted picture on monitor connected with hdmi. there is freezed and artifacts on monitor even while simply swithing desktops.. Do plese try to reproduce it.. It is some system.img issue, I flash newer kernels on older, from m9 pro 2.1 system.img and hdmi works great. If I should try another tests - let me know.
