Hi, does anyone have had success trying to stream live games with the NHL app? I have a MK808 and the same app works great, but with the X7 when I try to stream a game, it only shows me the NHL logo. I dont know why it isnt working.

going through the same problem but with CS968. I just flashed a new rom and it plays LIVE games but very grainy. The kbps has to be left at AUTO otherwise I get the NHL logo screen. It seems like the box doesn't have the right drivers or something to handle the HD stream. Even now, it starts off very clear then after about 10 seconds it becomes very grainy and eventually freezes after a couple minutes.

Strauzo's Kitkat fixes NHL Gamecenter Live

Finally. Guys... Install Strauzo's 4.4.2. Kitkat. That works. Install gamecenter from market. Both ethernet and wifi work for me. None of the 4.2 roms worked. Wasser's 4.4.2 didn't fix the issue as well as this one. It can be quirky but works and quality is good at auto which i think is same as 1600 most of the time. I am still trying to find an xbmc that plays smooth 1080p though... Please let me know if you get it goin with this rom. 720p still rocks!! Strauzo kept me from takin this x7 back to the store!! I like this device again and have renewed positivity that it will only get better!

I will be re-flashing with Wasser's 4.4.2 and will test from there. I will use Beyond XBMC v3 and will also test the older Gamecenter App mentioned in this thread and let you know how it goes.
A little disappointed but whatever... I'm sure this will all get worked out in the long run....

I don't trust that guy as he seems to be against the other great Devs on this site. Not sure I feel comfortable running his code on my device as he has been flagged as being dubious.

Well perhaps I did something wrong the first time I installed wassers kitkat but now I reinstalled and have everything working even BETTER than before.
So here is my setup:
Wasser's 4.4.2 with 1080 kernel.
NHL game center from market. This time audio sync is way better than with strauzo's. Just slightly off but definitely tolerable and barely noticeable when watching game.
XBMC is Gotham nightly. Had to look for all new addons but this works best. Plays 720 and 1080 smooth. Only issue is that I can't use the seek bar to scan through a video. It will kick me out of the video. Worse with 1080 files but if I just play from start it works smooth and will run.
Hope this helps. Once again the x7 meets all my requirements. NHL, XBMC, Netflix, light browsing. I'm a happy camper!

Nice! Have you tried the old app with 4500 kbps, Kitkat is very smooth on x7 but I was having ton of freezes. I might give it another try because its very nice!

Its pretty stable so far. (Then again I only re-flashed late Friday night) It only has options up to 1600Kbps. But I leave on 'AUTO' as it seems (in most cases) the same as 1600Kbps and doesn't ever go to that 'NHL logo screen' which is all I ever saw in the 4.2 ROMS with the exception of maybe one (I think Lewy's Rom... where you could hear the game and see the video 'seek bar' at bottom... but no game video. The odd time you could see it if you modified the bit rate but there was a lot of distortion in the picture with green blocks everywhere and then ultimately the NHL logo would pop up)
I'll see if I can find that old Gamecenter you mention to give it a try. I have never seen bit rate higher than 1600 on these android apps. On my PC in web browser I can up the value to 3000Kbps and in Carb0's Addon for XBMC (doesn't seem to work for 'live' games... only archived) there is an option for 4500 which actually looks pretty good but sometiems stutters (again for non-live games only).
NHL is a huge part of my time on these devices so I needed 'LIVE' games to work. 4.4.2 KitKat ROMS are the ONLY ones that I have seen that can pull it off (as quirky as they do) with the app. So far Wasser's ROM is the best (there is a message the pops up when I play the game 'you are not logged in at this time' but that can be ignored after clicking OK the video plays fine and there is minimal synch issue with audio but as I mentioned its very minimal and only noticed when you are watching people talk.)
The only real stability issues I have faced are with XBMC and that is because the nightly dev version (Gotham) is the only one I could get working with this ROM for smooth 1080 play back from XBMC addons (most ROMS were fine if I am playing a HD file from local source, ie. Well I tried to install Wassers rom but it kept rebooting I dont know why, then I tried Strauzos rom, it was working well but I still had random freezes and reboot so I went back to 4.2 where I never had any problem. When on Strauzo 4.4, I used the old app which gives the higher quality stream and it was fantastic, smoother than watching live tv lol (Ill post it if I find it, but you can easily find it on google). So Im looking foward to reinstall Wasser's rom! (Im sure I did something wrong during flash)
