Skygo Tablet App

Hi all

I installed rrileypm's awesome room on my pipo M8 pro. however i've hit a bump and wondered if anyone could help.

I'm trying to access the skygo tablet app but when i run it, it says sky go is not supported on rooted android devices. Having done some reading on the world wide web this is an on-going issue as the app checks the tablet for root as well as SuperSU and busybox. Anyway i then downloaded a Pipo stock firmware from their website assuming that this would be unrooted. However it seems that their own Roms/firmwares are also rooted as i get the ...won’t run on a rooted device message again...doh!!

So my question is there a way i can hide the root and supersu/busybox so that i can run sky go via rileys rom?

Is anyone aware of a "stock" Pipo firmware/rom that is root free?

It’s not the end of the word but my daughter would love to watch her kids channels when she goes to bed lol.

Any help would be appreciated

Also interested, same question.

For me its the YELO TV app from Telenet.
Same functions as the Skygo app as far I understand it correctly.

App always telling me that tablet is rooted, even the stock ROM as threadstarter mentioned.
I got a THL W100S phone with same problem, always telling me that phone is rooted, yet this phone is not rooted at all...
On a older tablet with jellybean, its working flaweless.(but that tab is soooooo slow...)

Any help please ?

Just curious. This is not an endorsement. Have you tried hide my root in the app store?

Yeah, tried hide my root and OTA rootkeeper neither work. It seems that the app doesn't just look for root or superSU but also busybox. The prob is that i could maybe live without root and even a custom rom for the Skygo Tablet app to work, sadly it seems the Pipo stock firmware is also "semi-rooted". I've checked the Pipo facebook page and it appears someone else has asked Pipo if they have a completely unrooted rom as he too can't get Skygo to work on their stock rom, Pipo's response post was to ask what rooted meant ...doh!

I'm just disappointed because frankly the tablet is a beast and is really good value for money. The thought of having to go for a mainstream brand name tab which will cost a lot more and perform less well than the Pipo is a shame

Yup....tried that (ofcourse ).

It's like the previous poster just wrote down : it seems that these apps are looking somewhere else to determine that the phone/tablet is rooted or not.

I'm searching the net what this Playready agent is looking for to determine the ROOT but i cannot find a straight answer...

I have collected your file and installed but it is the Italian SkyGo and my UK userid/login does not work.

I need a similarly modified UK SkyGo install
