PIPO M6Pro - Change default storage location

My PIPO M6 Pro has 16GB internal memory and 16GB external SDcard. Download, photos and videos are saved to internal memory (NAND FLASH in settings-storage) by default. I would like them to go to external sdcard by default. But I cant see any option in settings-storage to set default location and external 'sd card' info is grayed, while 'internal storage' and 'nand flash' info are colorful. Neither have My Files application. Only settings-screenshotsettings allows to set location (nand/sdcard/usb). Only way to use external sd card is: 1. setting-applications-move to sdcard, 2. moving with file manager. I would like all downloads, pictures, applications goes to external sdcard by default. On my android phone I can set it in setting-storage-default write disk-sdcard/phone storage. Searching I found workarounds by rooting and modifying fstab file. Is it the only way? (I hope that exists a user-friendly method to set default storage location.) Is it the same in custom roms for pipo or they have the option 'set default location' in settings-storage? Thanks in advance.
