Quick Boot?

OK I am now playing with the new M9 Pro stock ROM that added "Quick Boot".

Why do they call it quick boot? It does not boot any quicker?
It simply adds a "reboot" option to the power down menu.
Or am I missing something?

The reboot APP Randy and I add already gives this but I understand having it in the menu is a little easier.

In the video I saw on another thread the demo showed the option being selected and when rebooted it took 10 secs instead of 50 to restart

I had a Mobile phone that had this feature, and it was a deep sleep mode, that boots the device very fast.

You're right: it is not a real power down, so the difference wrt normal deep sleep seems nothing!
I actually consider this option useless....

It's only useful if part of the 'quick boot' process resets cached processes and re-initializes memory.

If it doesn't I don't see the point.

I find NO setting for this in the settings menu.
All it is that I see is an option to reboot in the power menu. Testing the speed of it between the reboot APP, there is no difference.
