MK808B Mediateck no wifi

My friends having wifi issues with the Mediateck MK808B. When I go into settings and turn on wifi. It hangs for 20-30 seconds and switches back to off. It wont turn on, i cant see any wifi connections. My friend resoldered the wires to the board. I figured this was the issues so i clipped back some wire and resoldered it. So i know thats not the issue. So that only leaves software issue. Any help appreciated,

Already tryed that. Sorry forgot to include that in first post

Try erasing and resetting your device on the settings.
