Can someone point me to the best and newest way to get Google Play to display the most apps on a stock rom (like The Weather Channel, MLB at Bat)? I've tried copying the build.prop from the Finless Rom to my Stock Rom and clearing the cache on the Play apps. I've tried copying the vending.apk from the Finless Rom and clearing the cache on the Play apps and that didn't work either. I see that Finless and NeoMode have this working on their latest roms but I'd really like to get this to work on the stock rom.

Yes, I know that I can find most of these apps on websites outside of the Play Store but I'm building this stick for someone that's not technical.

change build.prop

Hi,
Edit build.prop values and reboot.
Change these lines to pretend your device is another model. For example, to imitate a Nexus S, use these lines:

• ro.product.model = Nexus S
• ro.product.manufacturer = samsung

or get an app that does it for you.
