Pipo M6 Max part of toucscreen dead.

Hi all. There is a strip of my touchscreen about an inch or so wide, down the left hand side which seems dead.
it has made my tablet pretty much useless as when i use the keyboard, I can't bring up the numbers as the little tab is in the dead spot. I have opened it up and had a look, not that I know what I'm looking at, and nothing seems out of the ordinary.
I peeled the touchscreen off to expose what I believe to be the digitizer? it doesn't look like it has moved, looks like it is lined up properly.
I also did a factory reset in case it was a software problem, but that hasn't helped either. Any ideas on what I can do? I've not had much luck with these tablets, my first pipo fell on the floor, shearing the on/off button off completely.

I had a very similar problem. I had to send mine in to be replaced. Mine was a inch wide...on the top part of the screen. It was a hardware problem.
