How to install big game into tronsmart 3188

    Dear Sir,

Did anybody know how to install Big game like asphalt 8 and modern combat 4 in tronsmart as both game combine storage of more than 3.5GB, can't get them install in 1 go, only one on each time will do.

move them to external sdcard will make game request for WiFi connection and download again the whole game

    Thank you

If your stick is rooted you can bind the game's obb directory to your external sdcard or USB HDD. I've done this on my T-R42 and everything works OK.

Create /mnt/sdcard/scripts and /mnt/extsd_card/obb directories with your prefered file manager
Inside /mnt/sdcard/scripts create a file named dirbind.sh with your prefered text editor an put this text in it:

    Code:
    busybox mount -o bind /mnt/extsd_card/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftM4HM /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftM4HM
    busybox mount -o bind /mnt/extsd_card/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA8HM /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA8HM
Create the folders on the internal sdcard

    Code:
    mkdir /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftM4HM
    mkdir /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/obb/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA8HM
Copy the games data folders to /mnt/extsd_card/obb/

Install Script Manager from the Play Store and configure it to run this script on every boot as root and select the "is a script" option

From now on every time you boot your device the two internal sdcard folders are binded to the two external sdcard folders. You can do this with any folder, even with the whole obb folder (I have the whole obb folder binded to my external hdd drive)

I just realized that I made a mistake in the instructions, the game's data folder in your internal sdcard goes into

        /mnt/sdcard/Android/obb

        not into

        /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/obb

sorry. Just remove the "data" part from the instructions.

Don't know if this could help you, but there is an Excellent APP at the Google-Play-Market called:

            "FolderMount(ROOT)

That apparently Mount internal SD card folders to external SD folders, and that also Move content from internal to external when a pair is added.

However there is a negative part, this is a Free version, with the following limitations:

            * Only 3 pairs of linked folders.
            * The file browser does not show the size of folders.
            * Some restrictions on the type of the source folder

So you will have to buy the PRO version from the application to remove these restrictions.

I am including the APP description, hope could help you:

            Overview:
ROOT is required. Without it, the app will not launch.
Problems? Use the EMAIL DEVELOPER link in the Play Store.

Today some apps store big files over the internal SD card (e.g. games, podcasts, offline RSS content, pictures, videos, offline navigation software). Typically users have a small internal sd card size (~16GB) while the external SD is a lot bigger (~32-64GB). Most of these apps users download from the Play Store save their application data in the internal sdcard by default and don’t have an option to use the external SD card to store data so they starve your internal SD card memory. FolderMount is the solution to this issue. This app has the ability to link folders in your internal sdcard to folders in your external sdcard thereby populating the internal sdcard folders with content that really exists in the external card. This helps us free space and have multiple games/apps with big data stored simultaneously without the need to uninstall. For Nexus devices with no external sdcard, this application should help link folders to a usb flash drive for example.

            Features of FolderMount:
            * Mount internal SD card folders to external SD folders.
            * Move content from internal to external when a pair is added. (Dialog prompt)
            * Support for Android 2.3 – 4.2.2.
            * Holo themed throughout and an intuitive GUI design.
            * It will check SDCARD mount status and remount if necessary.

            Howto
            * Add a folder pair. Source is the internal sdcard and destination is your extSdCard
            * After adding, FM will offer to move the files for you. Click yes.
            * Wait until the move operation is done then click on the PIN. If PIN turns green, you’re all set.
            * The files will exist in both the source and destination after mounting. This is expected and is normal. The files you see in your internal sdcard actually reside in your external sdcard now and if you “unpin” the pair, you’ll see that your internal sdcard is empty again.

There are other apps that do the same functionality but this is the first to bring you support for Android 4.2 with a Holo themed app and an intuitive interface.

            Have fun.

                  tlchuan,

I am very happy to know that it worked for you!

Remember that as I said before: The only limitation of the Free version is that you can only pair 3 linked folders and that the file browser does not show the size of folders...

This APP is excellent and also works very well, so I recommend you to buy, as I already did, from the Google-Store-Market the PRO version, to Remove These little restrictions...I think it really worth it!

I am so glad that I could help you in this matter!!

So, you are using the Free version or you find/side-load the PRO APP somewhere?

What version number are you using?

Since I have never used the free version, only the Pro that I buy from the Google-Store-Market... I would like to know if the free version it is worth, all through the limitations?
