Hi all

Really need your help quickly folks! A friend of mine dropped off the G2 for me to get ship shape before givin to her daughter (shes goin in for an op).

Anyways, ive flashed my own tab numerous times- noi probs, i flashed this one and....its dead. wont switch on, cant get it back into recovery mode - its just not having it. help please folks!!

Make sure it is definitely switched off, although the screen may be black it may be stuck in a boot loop. Press and hold the power off for about 10 seconds. Stick the tab on charge just in case it has died whilst flashing and try again with getting it into recovery mode

Also make sure it is the correct version of the 10 G2!!! You may have a 10b G2 or something?

thanks guys, yup defo its a G2, not a b - when i try to get into recovery mode ( ialready have drivers installed from doing my own), the pc beeps once, i see it come up as unrecognised, then when i release the paperclip - it dissapears (whereas normally it would appear as a rockchip device)

and yeah its plugged in the whole time...

Try rebooting your pc sometimes the drivers get a bit hacked up.

ok pc rebooted -heres the story so far:

when i plug in the power to the tab - shows green light, no other response
when i plug in usb to pc - no activity and no recognition from pc
when i press and hold reset button and volume up if i watch device manager i see unrecognised device appear.
if i let the reset button go and continue to hold up volume, entry dissapears from device manager....and thats it - nothing else at all

Try not holding the reset. Try this method.

USB plugged in and power applied.
Hold volume up
Hit the reset button hole for like 1 second no more. Just a quick hit of the reset hole. Do this while continuing to hold volume up. The minute you hear Windows respond release the volume up. If you hold volume up too long it will enter recovery and not flash mode.

thanks Bob, unfortunatly no that didnt work- same thing. if i have entered recovery mode accidentally - how do i make sure im out of it? one thing that might tell u whats going on, as i was sitting wondering what to do next i noticed i was holding down the power button - and the pc made the ding to say unrecognised device - and i wasnt holding the volume or the reset button.....

When you did that did it stay in device manager as unrecognised device, if it does try to re install drivers

as soon as i release either the reset button (or the power button on that ocassion), it totally dissapears from device manager im afraid

So what did you do to get in this spot? Did you ever get to flash a ROM?

It's very possible the thing just died. I have seen at least 3 fail after a flash and never come back. The flash EEprom failed or something. I hope thats not the case. Does your tablet enter flash mode OK on your PC? You might try that and make sure. You do not have to flash a ROM to test that. Just reset out of it on your tablet.

Weird, sounds like one of the buttons are stuck somehow and not releasing properly, or your still in a boot loop.
