On first boot an app called SwitchMe(66) requests SuperUser access. What's that?

BTW, under "About Tablet" it shows my device as a Nexus 7. I'm guessing this isn't an official Pipo ROM (not that I mind).

Sorry for the double/triple posting, I'm just talking as I find things.

Do you have a link to download your recommended Kernel file? kernel_cpu1608h_gpu600h_ddr720-1.img

I have had quite a few issues with that KitKat ROM so I am going back to Finless. Is that Kernel recommended for use on other ROMs or just the KitKat one?

When you go back to Finless or RileyROM, thick also "loader" in the flash tool.

                      No official KitKat from Pipo

I received a reply to my query from PIPO that there are no official plans for KitKat on PiPo M9Pro.
                      Greetings

For sure it's not an official ROM or firmware...
This is a person from the russian forum who has made the ROM

As a matter of fact, that is the rom ported from pipo u8 to universal by crewrktablets then ported to M9 pro. Now I`m working on 4.4.2 ported straightly from u8, which will be v0.3.
Changes from v0.2 except android 4.4.2 that are going to be - less bugs, added support for theming via XThemeEngine, device information changed to Galaxy Note 3 8.0 since Nexus is not a Mali device.

Why is that needed? I don't think that is necessary. The only time you flash the loader is if you brick...and have to reset the NAND chip.
