    MK808 12.10 Ubuntu JustinTime4Tea Mali+lapdock

So I have been trying to figure this out for a week now, and I know its been done.. I found JustinTime4Tea's 12.10 Ubuntu OS for the MK808 using Olekg0's 3.0.8 kernel over on SlateDroid and got it to work on my MK808. However when I plug my mk808 into my Motorola lapdock 100 the resolution goes way off (Not the 1366x768 that the lapdock supports) and basically makes the fonts of all texts impossible to read for more than a few mins without wanting to drill out your eyeballs.. I have been looking everywhere and tried so many kernels. With some of the 3.0.36 ones I found giving me 1280x720, which although is not perfect is actually viewable. However all of those so far have no Mali support or wifi working.. I don't know how to compile or anything other than flash new kernels or use windiskimager to flash new Linux distro's to my SD card. I can't tell if I have actually found the answer already because I have found tons of forum posts saying to do things that I have no clue what they are asking because they are so vague..
I can learn, but when a post says untar and add lib and module files I have no idea what that means?? Just been really frustrated by the lack of REAL instructions on how to do things... Also feeling like this community is dead and I missed the boat which is really too bad because this hardware is only going to get cheaper and it can be used for so many things! I will be writing a full guide on how to do what I'm asking as soon as I can figure it out or someone can help me as I'm sure there are others who would benefit from this!

So anyways if you read all that thanks. I could use some help getting my mk808 working with wifi,Mali support and resolution for my lapdock. Hope someone can help!

Hello, for me it's a bit confusing, if wifi is working or not. Some people have no problems, but some others and I can´t get it working. With Android everything works fine but when I start picuntu it dosen´t. bcm40181 is in /etc/modules ifconfig and iwconfig showing eth0 without mac- address...

Thanks for your reply mo123! I have read all those posts. The thing is wifi works with Alok's 3.0.8 kernel and Justin's 12.10. However screen resolution on the lapdick 100 is blurry. I have flashed the first kernel in the miniland post by joy lee and the second one he posts in his second post. However after I do that wifi doesn't work. Also I have zero clue what he is saying to do after both of those kernels, because he is too vague for my level of Linux understanding. "Decompressed of your Picuntu root folder" What?!? I understand what the root folder is but... I just don't get it.
Do I want kernel 3.0.8 or 3.0.36? Joylee's first 3.0.36 Kern seems to be for the 808b which could be why it wifi doesn't work on my 808?
What about the second post first link of Joylee about 3.0.8 with Xvideo? I dont know how to do what he is saying after that link to the kernel.. Do I need the Xmali thing he posts later? Its so confusing...

Here is a lot more info and different linux to run on Rockchip devices.

I have ported olegk0's kernel ( https://github.com/olegk0/rk3066-kernel ) updates and Mali driver to Picuntu on my Picuntu kernel branch (...

The kernel you can find on Picuntu releases is 3.0.8-alok+, but a few weeks ago I found a 3.0.36 kernel for RK devices in github, which was...

        - Ubuntu 12.10 - home://io - Linux on ARM-RK3066 - Desktop Solution - - SAMBA, All-most Full Chrome Support, Conky-Stats! - - MetalSlug and other Retro Consoles at full speed and HW Accelerated! - - Now supports managing all your iOS Devices!! - - pyLoad downloads from hosts like...

I gave up on running picuntu long go because it didn't have hardware acceleration for video playback and if the sdcard became corrupted I had to follow all the steps again to get picuntu working.
