pmid 720 - Still no roms for this? (stock or otherwise)

I recently ended up with 3 of these. Used. Lady bought them for her kids, but now none of them work. One is locked, and Sotherntelecom seems to indicate that the fix is to reflash the stock rom... but there's STILL no stock rom on their site. The other two are bricked. One boots to polaroid logo, the other just gets the backlight on but no display.

Long story shortened, I spent the last 6h trying to find a rom to flash, but have come up emptyhanded. There was some indication in the big pmid720 thread here that some of the rom guys around here might be able to put one together, but that thread has gone more than a month without a post.

Any hope for these tablets? Or should I just give up on them?

this thread in " Polaroid Tablets" has more ... no one has made a Rom yet.. I have mine rooted ( works great ! ).. using 'Agavrys' method I think post 7 or 8... links to instructions... also someone has pulled files boot,system, recovery.. near the last postings which I have as well using dd... our file size matched.. but no word on a rom..

I am in a learning curve to attempt making a rom with guides on this site

Am using Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit and also trying the reccomended win7 with ubuntu on virtual box...working on a Emmerson 10 " tab

I had adb root shell in ubuntu virtual box and was able to dd files to ext sd.. and then VB ubuntu hosed and I lost all settings

Back to Ubuntu 64 now..

my learning curve looks to be long .....
