MK802 IV with Picuntu 4.5 random blank screen

So I flashed my MK802 IV with Picuntu 4.5. I have gotten everything working so far including wifi with the built-in hardware. Would it be of use if I posted how I got it to work?

But I'm having this problem where the screen blanks out for 1-2 seconds at random. I have tried switching the power adapater for a more powerful one, this one I'm using now has a capacity up to 10A. I have also tried powering it through the OTG port.

Tried to disable DPMS and screensaver.

It seems that everytime the screen blanks this event comes up:
    rk30-lcdc rk30-lcdc.1: blank mode:0

The funny thing is when I for example play audio I notice that it sometimes breaks off, so it must be the HDMI communication that is wrong. Because I see the same event in dmesg when it happens.

I tried looking at the source code but its not really my area:
Latest source for Rockchip (RK30/RK31) devices. Works also for RK3066: but no 3D and no WM8326 support yet (though there is a MTK5931 Wifi driver!) - Galland/Linux3188

This is what I can see in dmesg:

Hallo, i have the same problem, but i use the stock firmware, i think it isn't a problem of power supply, i have contacted the rikomagic and they say that is a problem of the cable that i use to connect the mk to the tv/monitor/avr Harman Cardon! Have Someone the same problem??

Ok, have you tried changing the cable?

It would be great if people who has this problem could reply to this thread. It would be nice to know how many actually experience this problem.

hi brother. hear i m facing same problem after flashing picuntu 4.5.
i reverted back to neo 1.9a update and everything working fine. so i think that there is not a problem with cable. it is something to do with kernel.

        sorry for my bad english.

I try to change the resolution in settings, i put 1280*..(i doesn't remember, i'm not at home), and it works. It is possible that it is a problem of power?

With picuntu i have the same problem, i try a lot of kernel, but nothing! I try to pass the HDMI signal by a avr harman kardon, and now works! The problem is the codification of hdmi in Italy?
