Hey guys got a box the other day but did not do a backup first

I have flashed it with a rom but its just stuck on boot then black screen, so i must of used the wrong rom (silly boy i know

I ended up realising it was a T-R42 box in the end. I flashed the following rom and it seems to works fine apart from bluetooth which didn't work

Other things I did was -
1. install mxplayer, plus Arm v7 (Neon)...install codec first
2 Installed xbmc, plus used these guides to get mxplayer to be the media player within xbmc

playercorefactory.xml file placed in the correct folder.....I tried various xbmc with mxplayer and only one would play HD movies without stuttering
xbmcs that i thried were -

xbmc-13.0-Gotham_alpha8-armeabi-v7a.apk
xbmc-frodo-12.1-xaf-neon-set_top-20130503-47b0a23c60.apk
I think the frodo one worked best................

Look at installing the add ons with XBMC,.....fusion and xfinity interesting..............

Ok before i got a chinese rom working but had no lan, have i lost lan for good?

had a go on Geekbuying T-R42_ B351V2.0_20131203.rar but all i get is a boot loop

Nothing working at all, flashed loads of roms all but one stick on boot... The one that works has missing ethernet, no way of getting lan to work again ?

Hi,
I think your ethernet will be ok with the right rom.

What type of box do you have and does the serial no start S/N BX091...?

I opened my box up to see what was written on the board inside...this helped verify what type of box it is....

When you flash the rom do you press the 'restore' button to do the flashing process.

Sadly.. there are about 6 or 7 versions of this unit on the market

Have you tried asking the reseller.. for a firmware?
-I hat some luck in the past.. just by asking

-on the firmware with lan not working
--did you try.. factory reset after, first boot?
---or removing the power, after enabling lan.. (just a thought)
