    Hello and please help...

ok so i just got a s10 for Christmas and have been playing with it here and there...

finally got the firmware update to give me the Google play and such..even got the thing rooted...

but now I'm wanting to get a twrp for it...and to start on developing a ROM(since i don't see any) ...I'm thinking just make a port of the cyanogen-mod ROM and see if that works...

also i need info on this thing..is it a knockoff of another more popular brand? based on one? re-branded?
and why did my phone stuff disappear after it updated and gave me the Google services?

    ----------------

oh and btw this is my first post so let me say hi and let you know that i would love to help out in development in anyway to make these things easier to use.

Your "phone stuff" disappeared because during the update process, the PhoenixSuite software wipes everything on the device and installs the new updated "end-user" rom, which unlike the original development rom, doesn't include telephony support. Though I don't have an S10, I know on the AS8 having telephony support is useless as there's no sim card slot and the device never seems to pick up any networks, meaning there's no radio installed.

The device itself is made by "Southern Telecom" which I believe is a smaller Chinese technology manufacturer. Rather than release devices under their own name, they contract out the usage of larger, more reputable corporation's namesakes, such as Polaroid.

Good luck with that CM port, let me know how it goes. If you manage to get a build that will boot, I'll be glad to help test it.
