T428 4.4 Maybe or Anything New

Just wondering been a while since I've used my t428 just wondering if anything much has changed or if 4.4 will be supported.

For T428 use de minix 7 firmware.... only few not working ... I use lewys.

I tried it on my T428. Boots ok, plays files from the microSD very well, feels light and fluid. BT and WiFi are not working.

T428 use ap6330 for Bt and wifi, this one is for ap6210, we have to wait... but it could never be out since there is no more support for T428.

As above, the firmwares released in the Minix 7 sub-forum are compatible. Look there for new stuff.

I was going to flash it on mine but no wifi no bluetooth kills that plan for me.

It's possible to frig the MK908 KitKat ROM to allow its use on a T428 (equivalent) and get a decent Antutu score

Steps are:

1. Download Kasty's rooted version of the MK908 KK beta -> here
2. extract the kernel and used patchomatic to clock cpu/GPU/RAM to 1608/600/667 (attached -> kernel_kk.zip)
3. Flashed the image, then flashed the modded kernel
4. Installed the teminal emulator apk (attached -> Terminal Emulator_1.0.54.apk)
5. Made /System writable: su + "mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtd/by-name/system /system"
6. renamed the current chipset firmwares: mv fw_RK901.bin fw_RK901.bak & mv nvram_AP6210.txt nvram_AP6210.bak
7. Copied the AP6330 equivalents fw_RK903_ag.bin / nvram_AP6330.txt to replace
8. Rebooted

This will make the wifi work but only on 2.4 GHz so far. Antutu for me was 18250
