Android 4.4 beta firmware for some android tv sticks!!!

hi all
CX-919II has other GPIOs settings in kernel so it's not working with any custom rom (4.2.2) unless you change the kernel for J22 aka CX-919II.

i would compile new kernel with gpios for 4.4.2 but can't find github for kernel
the 4.2.2 kernel doesn't work with 4.4.2 rom version..

if anyone can give github link to 4.4.2 kernel?

Tried on T428 - Everything good except WiFi

I did the upgrade on my Tronsmart T428 (RK3188), and lost the wifi adapter.
Everything else ran smooth , including 1080p videos , bluetooth came on.

I put this on my CX-919 V2 for fun as i'm sending it back in a few days to get it replaced. Having a flickering problem no matter what i do with it or what image i put on it. This image however, stopped the flickering for some reason. However, as soon as i played a video, about 15-20 seconds into it, the whole thing locks up. Guess it's my same problem as the flicker on other builds but thought it was interesting none the less.

Everything looked good and my wifi worked fine. All i really got to play with. Really glad to see a 4.4 come for these sticks though!

Iv also been looking for the old explorer apk as like you said the new one is lacking the lan explore but iv had no luck finding it yet :-(

You could just extract it from an older rom

Hi bob I do use ES Explorer myself but when my brother uses my stick the RkExplorer is best for him to use as he cant mess up my system files with that..the rkexplorer on your 1.6 cx919 rom is the one im looking for , its not the end of the world I can live without it I just have to keep a close eye on my stick when my brother uses it lol

I am making a ROM for the CX-919 from this. Been a lot of work! 2 days to figure stuff out, root it, and clean up. Almost done.

Anyway the rkexplorer is there! Why are you guys saying it is not?

Neomode mentioned that it was working slow, so I would like to know if you have fixed to make it work faster?

Right now I am getting 15000 in Antutu... But benchmarks are not everything.

Also rotation is enabled even if you turn it off in settings (for GPU stuff). I am working on that which also should improve benchmarks.

I don't think I will have the ROM done until this weekend possibly.
