Please help identify the device: B350

Hi, I recently bought this new device B350 from aliexpress. This is a device based on RK3188 chipset which includes 5 MP camera.

Seller claims that this is superior new device available from the end of November, so fairly new. I asked him for a factory ROM, but he said he doesn't have it.

I tried to search online, but was unable to dig out any good technical information. My interest is to possibly root it and install one of the custom ROMs from this forum. Could anybody help me to identify closest device so I could try to find suitable ROMs. I don't have the device in my hands yet (will get it next week). As soon as I will get my hands on it I will open it and make photos of the PCB and post here.

What is wrong with the default ROM ?
If you want to root it you can try TPSparkyRoot it has a missing adb install SuperSU.apk in there (in TPSparkyRoot.bat)

echo --- Installing SuperSU
adb install SuperSU.apk << missign line
adb shell chown root.root /system/app/SuperSU.apk

Worked on T428, mk908 and other 2 RK devices.
Remember to use rkdump to dump the original ROM and post it somewhere so people can download it and make modifications to it.

Well, my assumption is that custom ROMs developed here are much better on terms of performance and functionality.

I got the device today. Seller actually did a good job shipping it to me - he shipped it by DHL in 2 days and DHL delivered in 3 business days!

OK, now back to business

Here is photo of the PCB inside box with removed lid. What I dont like about it is a fact that it doesn't have any heat sync installed on the CPU. I will probably add one myself latter.

I didn't power it on yet. Will do it now. Please help me identify closest board and suitable firmware. Ideally I want to get a decent rom with 1080p kernel and all fixes, like frame skipping fix.

I'm totall newbie in Android (long time Palm and iOS user), so if somebody point me in a right direction how to dump the factory ROM and possibly root the device, it would be great! I will post dump somewhere. It would be super nice if Bob or other senior folks take a look at it and possibly cook a new firmware (if there is no readily available one...).

The wifi/BT chipset is mildly unusual and matches that in the Measy U4K which is an AllwinnerA31 CPU design. I've not seen this chip in combo with an RK3188. Think this one is unique currently.

Since wifi drivers are normally bound into the kernel as binaries you will be struggling to get anything 'off the shelf' to be compatible.

It *appears* that the same kit is being sold as the Ugoos UG310

Also, the 'T' variant of the RK3188 is a reduced frequency version (lower performance)

Yes, you are right. Just saw in AntuTu that max frequency of CPU here is 1.4 ghz. In addition, I really don't appreciate an absence of even a hint of heatsink. Device goes back to china. I will buy Minix neo x7 instead.
