So as explained in the instructions, before installing the APK, you need to download build.prop editor from google play store. Use it to check that your ro.product.model is set to GT-I9300 and if it isn't, you need to change it, otherwise you'll get poor performance during video playback.

If you use a finless ROM, it's probably already set to GT-I9300, but it can't hurt to check.
