Polaroid S8 (from Kohls Dec.2013): Do you have 4GB of advertised storage?

    Hey Everyone,

I believe many of us purchased the Polaroid S8 from Kohls this year. However, I just noticed that my 4GB of advertised storage isn't recognized.

When I go to Settings > Storage, all that's listed are as follows:
(Note: These totals are out of the box with no user data...)
    Internal Storage: Total Space= .99GB
    SDCard: Total Space= 828MB

I'm taking a poll to see whether or not i'm the only one with this issue or if it's a common problem with all Kohls S8's

    Your Feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks

I actually found out where the other 2 gigs of storage is. It's all chopped up into unused partitions labeled as NANDA to NANDJ. Two of those are decent in size, one being 256megs, and one being 837 megs. There is also a partition for recovery and something else. I'm still not sure why there are so many partitions on this thing and want to make sure that's it safe to repurpose the space they are using to something like the system, cache or data partition.

Thanks Deadphyre. That's freakin lame about the unused partitions. I wonder if this ROM was rushed to production. To be honest, what can I expect from a $30 tablet (after rebates and Kohls cash...).

Please please share your findings on re-partitioning the tablet.

      Good luck

I can probably help when you gents are at the point of repartitioning (assuming you want to use PhoenixSuit)-Polaroid (or whomever manufactured it) did the same thing with the PMID4311 and I had to repartition it to get back the unused partition space.

I'm really wanting to repartition right now. If I do anything wrong I can just put the tablet into flash mode and do a basic reset and start over. I want to get my space back and at least get it closer to what the storage is supposed to be.
