        Anyone please!!

So Ive been using the stock firmware purely because I like the boot screen and really just want my Ugoos UT1 to look as sleek as possible.....Ive checked the other ROMs/Firmware, which ever you want to call them but havent found any I like.

I bought this box purely for XBMC and to date cannot get XBMC to work with 1080p. Now today I loaded the Wasser which is freakin awesome but as usual the local player plays 1080p just fine but neither the xbmc.org or the XBMC Ugoos apak tv versions of xbmc work properly....they all stutter with 1080p

Please please please can some one tell me how to or point me in the directions of a xbmc version which works with Wasser (nice job by the way) as this box is pretty much useless if I cant get xbmc working with 1080p

        Awesome stuff, thanks in advance!!

Have you tried the special Beyond XBMC build:

Thanks Ari, that did indeed solve my XBMC problems to a certain extent, most 1080p content works so in regards to that issue it has been "resolved" but in the greater scheme of things my Ugoos UT1 is not the device for me as I tried to watch a movie last night but had it freeze with a loud buzzing noise 3 times making it useless. This issue seems to be related to the hardware or the firmware as it did it twice while testing Skype too.

Its a pity as the hardware seems perfectly capable. Looks like I'm just going to have to wait for "proper" hardware/software device to come out.

            Thanks again for your help!!

The lockup and loud buzzing is a bug in the stock firmware. Use a custom rom, even if you don't like the boot animation, and it will be gone.

                Hi there

New here -compliments on a very helpful forum. I bought this unit (branded Kaiboer) predominantly to watch Netflix and found the video playback very choppy and virtually unwatchable with the stock rom. I upgraded to the wasser rom and found a marked improvement in the overall performance of the unit. Plus I wasn't much of a fan of the original clunky interface. The clean UI on Wasser's Rom is much nicer and very snappy.

The video playback became acceptable (far smoother with only occasional but tolerable glitching) when working.

However now the unit freezes, crashes and reboots when watching video (exactly the loud buzzing and lockup you describe) - sometimes after only a minute or so, sometimes longer. Same happens using the stock player, MX player and others.

Any suggestions on how I can correct this issue? Is there a particular Rom that addresses this conclusively?

Kind regards and thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide. The UT1 seems to have the potential to be a great little unit but inability to play videos consistently is a major problem.

Try flashing just the kernel with Riley rom 1.1 kernel.

Cheers - will do. Can I do that with the RKBatch tool?

                    Thanks for the quick response.

Thanks again. Will try it when I get home. Is the kernel available for download on its own or is it part of the whole rom?

Much obliged. Please feel free to tell me to go away if my incessant questioning becomes irritating. I'm new to this stuff but trying to learn as much as I can...

So I'm guessing I load the Riley Rom into ROM_Flash_Tool_137 and it enables me to select only the kernel and flash that. Is that correct? Is there anything else I should know about the process?

That correct, just flash the kernel

Cool stuff thanks for the reply....seems like thats my only option, hopefully with a custom rom and the XBMC which I got working with this stock I may have a result.

                                Thanks again!
