Hello everybody,

Is it possible to identify which ROM would be appropriate for my device?



After many days, I've managed to upload g02ref-ota-20130306.zip through SD card, while connecting pins on one of the chips and after recovery device works, except WIFI. All other ROMs except g02ref caused fail during recovery. This ROM contains 8192cu.ko wifi driver, while device has Realtek 8188EUS. Is there any suggestion which other ROM can I use or how to enable WIFI for this device or I could use some hack to insert driver into existing ROM. Also WIFI reports no MAC address.

I found this firmware in my downloads folder from my earlier tries. Also I checked again and there is no 8188eu.ko driver file for my wifi inside this firmware.

Reason why I bricked devices in the first place is the fact that I tried to enable true 1080p on this device.

Now I am in the position to buy another unit from same manufacturer and to extract the firmware / drivers from the original device, and then fix the old unit. However, I doubt that I will find any new firmware that supports 1080p for this device.

Is there any recommendation for similar unit (Full SD slot + 4 USB) available for purchase online (through sites like Aliexpress or such) which supports true 1080p output?
