Polaroid ptab7200 does not turn on

My Polaroid ptab7200 won't turn on at all. I have made sure it is charged, unless the charger has stopped working. When you press the power button, it will say "Polaroid" and then "Internet Tablet" and then shuts off. The charger looks fine. I have tried to hook it up to the computer, with the same result. The computer does not sens e that something is attached. I have also reset it several times.

Other than tossing it, does anyone have any recommendations?

Sounds like it is a bad tablet (hardware failure). Was it like this out of the box?

Thanks for the response. That is what I figured. It has worked fine since December. I just stopped at Radio Shack and they checked the charger, which is working fine

My PMID700 does this occasionally, and sometimes it seems like holding the reset button for 5 seconds brings it out of its funk. The last time, I think I reset it by connecting it to a PC via USB to confirm whether it was completely dead.

It acts like it's still on, but won't turn off, so it's also possible that leaving it unplugged for a couple of days may drain the battery and let you charge it back up and turn it on.

UIAM, you could try reflashing it as a last resort. If THAT doesn't fix you, call the ST customer support line to find out if you need an RMA # to return it, and to get one, if necessary.

Thanks for the response. How can I reflash if the computer doesn't detect it?
