    Hi all,

The fastest combination i found for our sticks, that everything works fast and smooth is this firmware http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...2-by-lewy20041 with this kernel i made from 1.9a neomodes kernels, http://www.mediafire.com/download/5s...720_vsfsam.img.

What did you change in the kernel? I want to try in my mk809Iv. I have neomode 1.9a instaled.
Cpu settings are min 1200mhz max 1416mhz maybe my device can't support over 1416mhz without any external cooler. I think mk802iv and mk809iv are very similar devices. One more thing on first boot what are the frequencies and can i change that later? I don't want to see fire behind my tv.

            Newbie question

            Sorry for the newbie question.
I downloaded the MiniX7 firmware and the modified kernel.
MiniX7 firmware is in .img format so how do I put 1.9 Mod Kernel in it?

Would you please help me with a little guide?

            Thank you in advance.

you can do it by flashing the image file at first with restore fuction, and after that you can flash the kernel from the android device.
You will download from the android browser the kernel from my link, thn you will copy the kernel into HWF directory in the stick and you will rename it to kernel.img.
At the end you will go to settings-michellaneus-flash custom kernel.
The system will reboot and you will see penguins at the top left of the screen, this is the signal that the kernel is flashed correctly.
It`s not so difficult to do it, but reading it might seem complex. You will not regret it!
              Anything you need, ask me!

                First of all,
                thank you for your guide
Your suggested combination worked quite badly on my MK802IV with lots of casual reboot, wifi hiccups and disconnections and cpu blocked at 1.2.
I replaced the kernel with one of 1.9a CROM kernels and now everything seems good and stable:wifi performance is far better than with Neomod rom.

                Hope this helps

Nice to hear that you finally found something that work for you. Don't know why the kernel doesn't work. It's neo mode kernel over with phjanderson tool. Try to flash it from the stick itself with the custom kernel flash. You will see way better results!

the cpu being locked at 1.2 is probably an indication that it is a rk3188-"T" series CPU these will not go above 1.4ghz and many kernels default to 1.2ghz.... This is exactly what mine does with the OC kernels and i opened it up and confirmed indeed it is a "T" chip.... There are many other people reporting the same behavior... here is a link to the thread... http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-of-RK3188-CPU
