Thanks for the post. My problem is that the buttons that don't work have a different remote factory code.

As you can see lines 2 to 6 have factory code as 0xfe010001 whereas all other keys have factory code 0x40400001. In that case, is it possible to include two factory codes for the same remote?

Yes. Remotes have options for locking buttons to one set of codes, or remapping. Examples are pass through volume buttons that will always go to TV and channel buttons that always go to the cable box. You need to read up on your remote for that. My comcast remote is a universal remote and I can program for example my Cable box input button to always pass through to the tv factory code for change input.

Its a neat feature, but in your case it makes it impossible to use for this setup. See if you can disable those features on your remote. Good luck.
