DDR types very important....get it wrong..you can make a "Hard-Brick" of your device.

Can you boot into TWRP recovery? Flash Magisk Uninstaller.zip for the version that gave you the problem???

Yes, TWRP works!

MMh, I flashed latest uninstaller of Decembre, still stuck. I will flash all uninstallers....let's see...

Got my box back! Used AML tools to unpack boot.img and flashed through TWRP!!! puuhhhhh....

But I cant get back MAGISK root ! Android 7.1.1...anyone an idea?

**Updating Magisk on our China Boxes(Uboot/Partition tables??) has had a lot of issues.

Take a read of this re-post and see if a rooting solution might be recoverable.

• It is better to start fresh with a clean firmware install.
• Install the newest Magisk
• Finish install of your favorite apps and settings.
• Make a TWRP back-up to save on Micro SD card...in case of such emergencies.

Thanks for links! I have rooted several boxes and latest version never worked. I tried almost any constellation Manager / Magisk...

Important for me is that device passes cts profile.

Since I did not want to loose userdata I could not flash amlogic.img but had to extract boot.img from it and flash.

Finally got it to work....

Last time I tried that...still failed.
Make a TWRP back-up while you still can, sometimes a future reboot can suddenly fail..or develop issues.

With stable and beta MAGISK I had similar problem - it didn't want to update or just bricked the soft. However since I'm using Canary Debug builds everything is fine (till now ).
