No, from cwm you can't resize partitions.

Quick question, I'd prefer to flash finless with the rom flash tool for the extra app space, would it be ok to swap the finless kernel720.img file with the one from Tony's and then flash via flash tool?

Be sure that both ate the same kernel version, 3.0.8 or 3.0.36

How would I find out the kernel version?
I'll be using finless 1.7a rom from link below and swapping the kernel with Tonys.

Ok, I tried this with the ug008b from geekbuying and unfortunately it didn't work.
For some reason the cwm for the ug007 didn't take and left my device unbootable.

I tried re-flashing with the stock firmware and all seemed to go well (no errors during flash) but I only get a black screen when trying to boot.

I have managed to flash finless 1.7 for imito mx1/2 which works fine but doesn'r support onboard lan or A/V out. Flashing the kernel from ug007 causes boot problems.

I would really love to get lan and A/V functions back so if anyone can offer any advice it would be much appreciated.

I have Ditter U16 (which looks to be the same as UG008b) running stock 4.2.2 and latest Gotham xbmc nightly. It works fine with 720p .
