If the reset button does not work then your boot loader is blown. The only way is to short pins 7&8 on the NAND chip to put it into mask ROM mode.

I have had it happen to my CX-919 twice now going back and forth between kitkat and JellyBean and using loader 2.08

    Bob
"Pzebacz im, bo nie wiedzą, co czynią"
"Прости им, они не ведают, что творят"
"Perdona loro perché non sanno quello che fanno"
"Vergib ihnen, denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun"
"Vergeef hen want ze weten niet wat ze doen"
"Pardonne-leur car ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils font"
"Perdónalos porque no saben que lo que hacen"
"Oprosti im, jer ne znaju što čine"
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

How does one actually "short" those pins?

And from which dot/circle should i count to 7 & 8? cause i have taken apart my stick right now, and i see in 3 corners dots; 2 are the same size, and 1 smaller.

UPDATE: the little one was it, and 7 & 8 pins, like Bob said. And i managed to get it into mask mode or what...

Well, i don't know where are you at the moment... i mean what is your progress to short the 7 & 9 pins, but i started with a thin and little screwdriver.
Then i found it won't be enough, took another one; and carefully from cm to cm i pulled apart the coverage. One screwdriver to unfold, other to keep the 2 parts of the bottom and top coverage away from each other. Even though, i was quite careful, i made some scratches on it :S but i think, i didn't break the plastic at least.

After that i took a little and spiked needle, and after that i found the little dot on the chip, counted to 7 & 8 and i shortened the 2 pins with the needle. I kept it on until i plugged the usb into my pc and waited to happen something. And voila, after 3-4 tries, it happened. My pc detected the stick, i erased nand flash, and flashed the 'rescue rom' until there's nothing else better.

UPDATE: ah, i was a bit late, too much text/storying. xd

Anyone knows already any better rom which works without flickering and wifi signal is good too?
Maybe a stock rom, which works?

I haven't found any, other than the Rescue Rom, that work 100%.

Have you tried the 4.4.2 Finless ROM? I tried it a week ago, wifi was good and no flickering but I noticed that it shows only 1.2Ghz cpu no matter which kernel I choose so I moved on .. maybe your experience will be different?

Btw congrats for reviving your device

WiFi works, but seems to be limited...

For me, wifi was okay in the 4.4.2 finless beta rom, so it seems all these CX-919 are different ..

I am still totally confused about the rom I installed on my device - cx-919-rk3188-T-4.2-6210-20131119.img
Is it the latest stock rom for CX919 indeed as the russian community on 4pda.ru believes or is it some fake?
As I wrote before, I flashed this "stock" rom and overwrite it with the Finless 1.6b rom except the kernel and this works well for me, the only drawback is that cpu is limited to 1416Mhz.

Bob, could you please shed some light? What do you think about this "latest" "stock" ROM for CX-919?
And thank you so much for your efforts.

I'm only using that "Stock" rom, myself, to use the kernel for no 1080p flickering and WiFi. It seems to be the best bet, as the Rescue ROM WiFi doesn't work outside of itself, yet the kernel for 1080p is fine. I'm on Neomode 1.8, atm.

Anyways, if it helps somebody to identify these sticks, which have the flickering issue after flashing, and works only with rescue rom and its combinations(kernel from it and other custom roms, etc), this is my stick:

Tronsmart CX-919 Ver 2.0 (mine was made on the 28th April 2013.)
More info in the linked attachments(images taken by me from my stick's chips and motherboard; mostly upside, didn't want to pick off the heatsink from the cpu on the bottom side)

Yes, same here. From this "latest stock rom" I am actually using only the kernel, everything else is replaced with the Finless 1.6b rom. Before, when I tried to install the Finless 1.6 rom as is, my screen flickered and flashed every few seconds, even with the "stock" kernels supplied with the 1.6b rom, but cpu was not limited to 1.416Ghz, it ran at 1.6Ghz. My theory is that the latest CX-919s could not run at 1.6Ghz for some reason (maybe 3188-T limitation) so they released this "latest stock rom" where everything works okay but it is limited to 1.416Ghz. So what I actually did is combined finless 1.6b rom with the "latest stock kernel", that is it. If Bob or someone could extract the kernel from this "latest stock rom" and add it to the list of bundled kernels, then we could install finless 1.6b rom directly, without flashing the whole "latest stock rom" first. Here are my thoughts.
