smt_gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip for Next8P12- Android is upgrading Optimizing Application

It must be the signed signature that is causing this- "Android is upgrading Optimizing application"
Because after I rooted it and before I installed smt_gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip file was not doing this. Even if I had third party app. installed and apps. from Google Play sideloaded via usb or transfered Swift ftp. So am I stuck with this and no alternative to get rid of this ?

There is a very easy way to remove the Gapps package...

Flash the stock ROM... it will remove everything previously installed on the tablet.

But your stock rom has the google signature which I think is causing the problem.
It is not the Nextbook original signature.
So if I flash the rom, I will still have this problem.

It's the same google signature used on all my other ROMS, not to mention almost every custom ROM everywhere.

It's not causing a problem on any other tablet models.

I've already explained that there is a bug in the android 4.0.4 that causes it to redo the app optimization process every reboot. You can research that yourself if you don't believe me.

That bug could possibly be located in the Gapps files for 4.0.4. I don't recall installing any apps on my next8p12 before installing Gapps.

You really only have 3 options:

Option 1: Flash the stock ROM.

Option 2: Try to manually delete anything related to Google Apps. If you make things worse, you can still flash the stock ROM.

Option 3: Wait for an updated ROM that is based on Android 4.1 or higher.
