After rooted Next8P12 (NXM805MC) MX Player Brightness control doesn't work

FYI, My Next8P12 has been rooted forever. I downloaded the newest MX Player from the Google Play store just to test for you. The brightness slider worked fine for me.

I also installed the ARMV7 Neon support addon for MX Player. I don't know if that made a difference.

I tried with latest MX PLayer version and ARMV7 Neon support. The briightness still doesn't work.
So I give up on what I should do next.
