Arnova 9G2 ICS 4.0.3 seems to be available on the market

Maybe ICS waiting for our Arnova will soon be over!

On an Italian forum, some people are reporting they just purchased an Arnova 9G2 4GB with ICS.

From the system info they are reporting the following:
Android: 4.0.3
Kernel: 3.0.8
Build: rk2918_android4.0.3-arnova v 2.06.00 2012 4 09 12:50 rk29sdk-eng 4.0.3 iml74k engk@. root 20120403.125112 test-keys

Maybe this is the reason for the delay Arnova has not yet posted the 9G2 firmare on their download site...

There has to be a good chance for us surely, 9 G3 is running ICS and appears to exactly the same tablet with just an extra 512MB of ram ..... seems to me its just a matter of time

Yeah, ICS on the 9 G2 would be awesome.

At **** Germany the 9 G2 is now available in a "Special Edition" with ICS.

In fact I might be able to use the resources for all Arnova ROMs and make ICS.

Also, it's worth pointing out that, even though the G3 has 1GB of RAM, there are other devices on **** that have 512MB, but still (claim to!) have ICS:

This is one of the most exciting things I've seen in a while. I've really, really, really wanted ICS on my 10 G2 since about ten minutes after I unboxed it. The Finless version of Morka's ROM is managing to tide me over--barely--but ICS would be awesome.

Also considering I have ICS on my Samsung Fascinate, which has the Cortex A8 1.0 GHz processor and a whopping 512 MB of RAM, 128 of which is dedicated to the video chipset, and runs it smooth as silk..I can't imagine the Arnova line in general can't handle it.

No, it´s only AppsLib installed, we need a Dump of that ROM for Bob, then he can make a "Finless ICS" Custom-ROM with Play-Store and Root, like his brilliant 1.5 ROM.

Please can you tell me how to make a dump of the Firmware, maybe a noob version, cause we are no pro´s like you.

I will translate it and post the Instruction in the Forum so that we can make a dump for you.

Then it´s up to you to do some "Magic" with it.
