Ugoos UM2

Anyone know of any ROMs that would fix the WiFi on a ugoos um2. Think its an rk3188 ap6210. Not sure if its the old or new WiFi version as I can't work out how to open the thing to see the serial number. This WiFi is driving me crazy

Helo old friend from XDA,we have the same device Ugoos UM2 rk3188 ap6210,

right now I'm using
NEOMODE CUSTOM ROM MK809III AP6210Version 1.9a with kernel2.img
everything working smooth and fast, no problem with Wifi so far..

Try to change the kernel, for me kernel2.img works good..

I just received a couple UM2 units, and so far so good running stock firmware.

What is the issue with Wifi - low signal, drop-outs?

So far, this has been a fun unit to play with - the kids love the Remote Control App and Wifi display.

Yeah low signal and random dropouts to bites per seconds.

I now have perfect WiFi using neomodes ROM mentioned above. In using kernel 3 but kernel 2 works also. Problem now is i can't get any video to play smoothly. Anyone any idea what i can do to fix video?

Are you playing from local SD Card / USB, Local Network, Internet?

Playing off the device SD card. Tried ehomemedia. MX player. Vplayer. Vlc. I get lots of sync problems skipping and bad video. Pixelation. Basically unwatchable.

Hello all,

I have tried a few ROMS also on my UM2. Its a good stick but I don't seem to find the right solution.
Want to use it basically as a XBMC Station.

So the HDMI Signal in HD is not working. Next to a very poor WLAN performance.
Not to mention the original IR remote is not working either.

I also contacted Ugoos directly. Became an answer the very next day. It seems they are working on a new ROM. But no informaiton whatsoever about release date or any other detail.

Has anyone a recommendation for me?
