can someone help with the External active player press OK error message in JynxBox M6??

Hi there, I have jynxbox M6 loaded with XAF XBMC 12.1 Neon and External Player MX Player Pro version 1.7.22 + ARM7 Codec .... I am experiencing error messages sometimes about the External Player (MX Player Pro) : External Player Active Press Ok and when i press ok it quit the steam i am trying to load from the net.

I have red somewhere saying that i need to miss around with the file playercorefactory.xml and edit the rules to reflect the new external player I have and i did I am attaching a copy of the playercorefactory.xml file i am using now please have a look at it and let me know what things i'm doing wrong in it so i can fix that error.

after revising the playercorefactory.xml file i pasted it in the /userdata folder using the built in File explorer in jynxbox M6 the box asked me to overwire the current one and i pressed yes but still have same error when i try to view arabic channels . i added the arabic repo from xbmchub using the option install from zip and Fusion as a source and the source downloaded fine and i made sure that the add-on was enabled as well . so when i view the arabic channels i get the external player active error message and then when i press ok the stream stops .

the reason i am using external MX Player Pro 1.7.22 + ARM7 Codec is because my device is a Neon device and i want to utilize the Hardware Accelaration instead off the sofware acceleration.

when i open icefilm and try to view a move the move launches great with no lagging or choppy picture its running smooth with synced audio, its very sharp picture also no buffering issue when viewing 1080P movies. I am mainly having issues with arabic channels using variety of arabic Repos like 1Channel and much more .

I also want to know how do you reboot the jynxbox M6 without cycling the power adapter?? any key combonation do i have to press on the remote control??

and last but not least, when I uninstall certain apps that came with my Jynxbox like (facebook, skype, xbmc, globe news)... and cycle the power from the back the system reload them again a window pops up after the android logo saying installing 0/4 and it loads the app i uninstalled how can i get around that??

looking forward to hear from you as soon as possible.
    cheers

    Hi,
My advice would be installing xbmc version from mygica/geniatech
-it has hw acc for amlogic

    But anyway

The Xaf version should have a option, Play Using <listing videoplayers>
-on the play link... menu or scroll mouse click or keyb C

Reboot.. well if you have root... then you can use the reboot app from freaktab
-you can also try, keyb: ctrl + alt + del

    The pre-installed app...
    Try disabling them.. settings/app/all
-click on the app listed.. button disable

    Cheers.. and goodluck

Thank you very much for the great info, I started to like this forum for the great help you would get from other members. can you please forward me the link to xbmc version from mygica/geniatech ?? do you know what is the version of the xbmc?
also forward me the link to the reboot app from freaktab so i can download it.

regarding the XAF version where can i find the Play Using <listing VideoPlayer> option ?? is it whithin XBMC or the IOS settings??

here is what i did so you can be in the picture:

      1) I installed the stock firmware jynxbox M6 dated November 05th 2013 ..... OK
      2) I uninstalled the stock apps like ( xbmc,facebook,skype,global news,messenger)..... OK
      3) I power cycled the box and pressed Menu so it would not load the stock apps that i uninstalled in step 2

      4) I navigated to the external SD card using the stock File manager
      5) I installed the Full version of MX Player Pro + Codec
      6) I launshed the MX Player for the first time and played a video on the SD Card as Recommended
      7) after closing the MX Player on step 6 I navigated to the external SD again using the file manager and I installed XAF XBMC 12.1 Neon and I ran the XBMC for the first launsh and kept it running to download the needed add-ons
      8) after step 7 I added a source (Fusion) in XBMC to install Navi-X and then i launshed Navi-X and clicked on Video add-on and i added some arabic channels like Dubai TV and Aljazeera and much more
      9) righ after step 8 i tried to open the arabic stream like Dubai TV or Aljazeera i got the error message saying ( EXTERNAL PLAYER ACTIVE PRESS OK ) AND WHEN I PRESS OK IT GOES BACK TO HOME SCREEN OF XBMC.

so what do you think its causing that error??

looking forward to hear from you thank you very much for your assistance and cooperation
      cheer's
      Charlie

I was the first to get the external hardware decoder to run in XBMC when I was with xbmcandroid.com and I know the problem and I recommend you use Archos Video Player. In Archos you just have to index the folders you wish to play media from and then in your playercorefactory.xml you should set Archos as primary player. But you get hardware decoding support in the original XBMC now so there was no longer any use for an external player version of xbmc which is why the xbmcandroid.com site closed. But if you need help then ask away and I will answer you. I have made a video once on how to get it to work which is on Youtube somewhere. I recommend watching it as I go through how to setup XBMC and playercorefactory.xml file to get it to work.

EDIT: Here is a link for a playercorefactory.xml with Archos Video Player Free as standard player. Place this in the correct folder, install Archos Free from Play, index media files in Archos before running XBMC. Then run XBMC and it should work with Archos Player Free as external player. Was the last version of the xml file I made and have tested it on 3-4 devices and no problems here.

            Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNWveNTp5QI

Video focus mostly on how to add SMB folders but also how to get it work in Archos which is the same procedure for adding normal videos.
