I had to remove the Chinese Characters in file name to load.

It has 2 / 10 GB storage configuration.
Has "4K" player app.

What else to look for

To gain root, does anyone see why the Onda_Allwinner process would not work?

If for C918 is it works ok on C918S ?

This is for Allwinner A31 CS918S which is totally different from CS918 running on RK3188 processor.

With this version 1.2 I cannot find Update app to get root using ROOT_Limpieza_Logo_V3.zip.
Any idea where to find it?

If you Google cs918s-4pda and go to the first link then hit "translate" you'll find yourself in a Russian forum where they too are trying to figure out what works and doesn't work for the cs918s internet TV box. Well, afterwards you go to page # 7 in that thread and under a post made by the forum member aris-soft you'll see his comment start with "Getting root" followed by the link to the page with the Onda OTA update utility. It's on that page where you find the tools that you need to root this internet box.

Apparently, he followed the Onda ota root method and it worked out for him. I haven't tried this myself out of fear that this may go terribly wrong but if this works out for you, let me and everyone else your results. Let's help each other out on here I did my part, now it's yours or someone else's part to let me/others know the results. So let us know, and best of luck ok.

Does this firmware have a working version of XBMC included, or would the latest android nightly build work?
