I'm uploading a new to test based on your ROM dump.

I've made a firmware update from your dump file, if you need to re-install the stock firmware...so don't worry.

    Stay tuned.

          I've a little problem

if I keep Usb Debugging off (as per instructions "Make sure USB debugging is turned off on the Android device.") Win7 won't let ROM_Flash_Tool_137 seeing any RKAndroid Mass Storage USB.

I've tried to completely delete all of windows integrated drivers but with no succes, even after have used Rockchip_Driver_Installer.
I've also installed a freshly new Windows XP over Virtualbox in my linux box, but with no success.
Usb debugging on is absolutely a no go?
Any idea on how to clear those integrated windows drivers?

          thx!

Try integrating parts of the M1 ROM...starting with recovery...one at a time.

It maybe a problem with the boot.img. But try recovery first.

I need to see what combination of parts from the M1 and the stock firmware will work.

I'm working today, so it will be tomorrow night before I can get back to it.

Also, try flashing the M1 ROM with the kernel from this ROM.

With M1 you mean your rom right?
So to try any combination between the original stock and the one you assembled?
Just want to be totally sure

I tried every every possible configuration between your and the stock rom, no success.
I've also tried to flash one part at a time and recovery fails... every time!
it fails with the one from your rom, with the stock one and even with the one from the Voltablet you posted here in the first post

                  EDIT :
                  Sooooo!!
At the end rom flashing has been successful using the Kernel of the rom you just made + everything from the rom in this post (VolkTablet_ROMKit.zip).
No NAND but everything in the Internal Storage, and that's awesome
So far I've found only one no-go : bluetooth. It won't even start.
Everything else seems to work flawlessy and Antutu scored 17956 as-it-is.
Going to play with it for a bit and I'll update this post if I find something else not working.

Ready also to perform any test you want me to do

I'm glad we found the right combination. I was a little worried we wouldn't get it right.

Bluetooth is a tricky subject to fix. I'm not sure how successful we will be with that one.

I'm in no hurry to have BT working man
After some stress-test I didn't found any problem apart that.
Let me know if I need to do some tests

ok, used it for some time now.
First, it seems stable. I had only one (as far as I can remember) freeze that needed a manual reboot.
as of today I found a quite annoying problem.

At boot audio works just fine, but after some times audio stops working and I need to reboot.
                          any idea?

                          thanks!

I'm not sure about that one. Is it associated with running a specific app?

                              doesn't seem so...
it just seems that after a while sound stops working. I turn on the screen and there's no sound.
The only thing that I've noticed is that it seems to happen when the tablet goes into sleep mode automatically so when I push the button to wake it there's no sound anymore :\

Btw. the RK3188 Kernel Sources for some Surftabs and for the Volkstab (original tab from this thread) have been released now by Trekstor.
                                You can find them here

RRiley, do you think you find some time to have a look at the Volkstab kernel source and make a build for it?

I will jump now to some newbie guides and study the basics...

                                Regards, Loewe
