Someone help me about how to make my computer recognize my CX-919?

I've been tried on many O.S., such as Ubuntu, Win8, Win7, WinVista and even WinXP, but does not work.

I follow the steps, press Fn button before plug the stick on PC and when I try to install the driver (on Windows) through the device manager, I get a message saying that driver already on newer version. But, mx CX-919 stiil not recognized.

What I should to do? Any idea?

Have you tried installing the drivers with RK_DriverAssitant.zip tool http://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11/...-windows-xp78/

            or hear http://www.mediafire.com/download/yq...ckusb_v3.5.rar

Yeap, I tried this one too. I got the success instalation message, but when I plug the stick, it still as unknown device.

I'm starting to regret of this order. =/

Cause the video performance is poor (a bit slower) and can't update the firmware.

              Another clue?

The otg port on the cx-919 is NOT the side port it is the end port you need to use

What a crapy mistake of project. The OTG port is the one that is wrote DC.

Ok, I'll try the end port.

                      Thanks.

Its printed on the case wrong...Good luck I hope you can do it now.All other tv sticks it is the side port but not the cx 919. the cx 919 OTG is the end port im 100% sure.

If you still have no luck..
i would normaly say its the driver its not installed correct but i see you have tryed many opperating systems so i dought you have installed the driver wrong every time on every opperating system so im thinking its something else might be the problem.have you tried another OTG lead,,,The fn button might be broke try shorting the connections on the bored that go to the fn button, other than that you could try shorting pins 6&7/7&8 or it could be 8&9 on the nand chip

Well, I'm still no luck. =/

In my case, the OTG port is really on the side and I dont think the Fn button can be broken. Because, when I plug on the end port nothing happened, but when I plug on the side port the computer recognize the stick as unknown device.

I've been figure out what is wrong, but I dont know what can be.

                          • I did make sure to download the correct driver from this page http://www.rockchip.nl/downloads/ (win8 64bits in this case)
                          • I press Fn and then plug the stick on the computer
                          • I try install the driver and when it's starts Windows shows me the message: "The better driver software for the device is already installed"

What I can be doing wrong yet?

I just discovered in other thread that my stick is a CX-919 clone and purposely the flash mode was disabled on hardware. That can be viewed here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-rooting/page4

The good news, there is a way to enable it by soldering. And I'll try it out.

                            Thanks for helping.
