Also check the kl file permission. It should be world readable, i.e. set it to 644

Having problems with this in Wasser ROM, put the files in the correct spot and its not working, used Root Explorer, and ensured permissions are there, rebooted. Not working. Worked with Finless 1.8. Whats the deal?

        Hi all

I am coming from a WDTV as HTPC which did the job for a few years.

I have now moved to the X8H MINIX, but very disappointed with the remote.

As I use an old 555 HARMONY for all the equipment, in view of the above I am looking to go for a FLIRC in order to get a simple solution to have PLAY/PAUSE/SUBTITLES controls.

has anyone got any experience with this?

        cheers

        Bob

I use my FLIRC with my T428 and the only problem I encounter is the arrow key work in system but not in applications. All fonction in XBMC work great (arrow work in XBMC). So for media use it work 100% with XBMC and I am realy happy. I use an accoustic research remote an have to learn fonctions, your remote must have the ability to learn key. If not maybe vizio XRB300 blu-ray could be use as template
T428 ,Radxa Rock (RR), cs918s v1.0, waiting for my X7...

Thank you Sarco, I will give it a try then!

By the way i tried using an old Media Center remote but suspect the USB IR receiver is not recognised , probably for lack of driver

            cheers

You can use this old remote to program FLIRC. FLIRC is a ir receiver compatible in android. But to use your harmony choose a remote in database and program FLIRC with that choice with your harmony.

                Logitech Harmony and Minix

                Hello all,

I just subscribed to tell you that using Johan van Zoomeren trick is working.
You just have to modify remote.conf on the minix (X8H in my case) to get the harmony working in Android and in XBMC.
Harmony remote have to be set as Pivos XIOS DS, remote.conf modified and you have a lot more remote keys working. Maybe something more to adjust for the ON/OFF button to work, but as I leave my Minix ON all the time, I didn't try...

                Thanks again Johan van Zoomeren.

Sorry I cannot upload so I copy, still in work:

                Code:

                    Hi,

I would like to configure my harmony 650 to work with xbmc but the page http://minixforums.com/threads/how-logitech-harmony-remote-owners-can-map-more-buttons-for-their-minix-neo-x7.3126/ does not exist anymore.

Does anybody still have this page somewhere?
Or another guide to set my harmony 650 for xbmc on the minix x7?

                    Thx!

Minix has a profile in the Harmony database. My Harmony One works perfectly with the Minx X7 after adding the device.

Play/Pause do not work, it essentially mimics the stock remote. I know you can add play / pause somehow but I'm not concerned... press the select button twice to pause it.
