    USB Gigabit lan adapter

Anyone know a 100/1000 lan adapter wich is working for these devices? I know it's only usb 2.0 so max speed is 480 mbps, but still faster than 100 mbps though.

I dont think it will allow you to have a link more then 100mbit. Ethernet has auto negotiation features to see if you have a straight or cross cables, so it also looks if it can handle and if the peer can handle 1 gig. Unfortunately there is nothing in between 1000 and 100.

Might end up hurting the other devices in the USB Hub btw.

      okay

Not good.. Then how about usb wifi adapter with 802.11ac? My pc is connected at 867 mb/s to my router. Could i get 480 mb/s that way?

.11ac supports channel bonding, that is what i reckon the only benefit you can get from it.

Minix has a single antenna, so it cannot do more then one stream. a single channel in 11ac is 20mhz, you can combine up to 40mhz, 80mhz or even 80 + 80mhz so it should be able to get speeds up to 480mbit, but that is Half-Duplex and still cannot compete with Ethernet, especially if your AP is busy (5+ clients)

You will only get 1/2 of that even! Real world USB2 throughput with a FAST CPU is about 250-260 mbps.

I have LAN7500 USB2 and ASIX USB3 chipset devices running on 800MHz dual core ARM Satellite boxes.

I've compiled in support for LAN7500 devices in my KitKat kernels

Sounds good. anything faster than 100 mbps would be nice. Did you test the speed of the lan7500 adapter?

No. I have the Minipc, I built the kernel with support and I have the USB adapter .... but I don't have a cable long enough to go from router to minipc!

I've left LAN7500 support turned on so all my builds in the last week or so have support.
