Updated with more info and added a "BETA" tab to the file.
A "Beyond XBMC" tab is still here, I'll see if I do a related to "Media/GameCenter APPs" tab later.
I wanted to have a media center with emulation frontend capabilities so I think I'll list the software I found here and there but it will probably be written in another Gdoc file.

    cheers

ps: found this googledoc "FIRMWARE & HARDWARE COMPATIBILITY LIST FOR ANDROID TV STICKS & TABLETS" while browsing the forum: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...3Zzg3UEE&gid=5
It has a lot of useful information even if it's more RK3066 TV STICKS related.

      Did a little update there.

      - Removed "not fast" from CONS (depends on what speed people want), my rom has one of the best movie playback instead of overal CPU handling.
      - Changed passtrhough to YES, posted the audio settings bug in CONS.
      - Updated 720p/1080p, it a 1080p kernel wich boots at 720p resolution to be compatable with HD ready.
      - Updated XBMC run.

Thanks for the update HardwareGuru. It's even better to have the owner's feedback

The PROS and CONS has mostly been written by DeliriumNL with some update here and there by me.

I moved those columns at the end of the file because I felt that it was mainly based on an abstract user experience too.
In fact I don't know what to do with those columns.
Either I keep it but we'll need to fill two columns per user so the text will reflect the experience of one user, or delete it and discuss the pros and cons here.
Let me know what you all think.

On my side I only tested Minix stock roms 008 & 009 and justXBMC for the moment but plan to test more soon.

Doesn't the power of this file come from the user experiences? If this will just be a list of all the features by the rom makers then people can just look in the corresponding threads.

I listed my experiences and compared for example GuruRom with others, each has it's own features and in my opinion that's valuable.

If everyone would put their finding there we will know which one is the diamond we need as a daily driver for each user case.

NEO X7 6th FW Release (0101, version 008) is official stock firmware, not 009. Fw009 was shared on forum only and have many bugs.
            Source: http://www.minix.com.hk/Support.htm

I think it should be changed in doc.

Hi DeliriumNL, I also think it's a plus.
I edited the file accordingly and put names on top of the columns.
I will state that anyone who wants to fill more experience would have to create two new columns.

The only problem I see here would be the history of the PROS/CONS columns. I think we should add the date and I also added a "Outdated" tab so I could move the user experience along with the data of an old versions of a Rom.

@HardwareGuru: The data you entered in the PROS/CONS columns have been moved with the DeliriumNL columns. Feel free to create new columns if you wish or leave it in the DeliriumNL comlumns if it's OK for him.

              cheers

Done! I moved the 009 version of Minix firmware to the "beta" tab and filled the stock 008 data in the main datasheet.

Thanks for that Fedur, I just flashed 009 yesterday and done 1rst OTA without knowing that.
I did not tested it fully (I came from 008, then tested justXBMC), and i didn't find any issue so far
I didn't knew that it was not put into production for the moment except that I was wondering why this 009 FW wasn't on the official Minix download page

I'll leave it up to you guys
I think i should not mix with user feedback too much.

Maybe somthing for the beta tab:

                    HWG beta added to file

I think you can add feedback if you want to. You're not selling anything about firmware here and I think your experience could be interesting as you're involved in more than one Firmware release imho.
BTW, thanks for your work HardwareGuru.

                        added RoDiSte Rom 2.07

someone (dev? ) added the "RoDiSte Rom" Firmware to the list, said to be stable, made in Germany by RoDiSte based on Minix firmware with help from known devels (Finless Bob & phjanderson, FBK2904, XOXYS, Lewy20041...)
